In SuperMap ImageX Pro , an imagery workflow (abbreviated as workflow) refers to a GPA model built based on GPA tools. You can perform management operations such as creating, opening, executing, canceling, and saving workflows.
Only one imageryGPA can be created based on a predefined workflow in a workspace.
Creating a New Workflow
In the Imagery tab -> Workflow Management group -> New dropdown menu, select the image type to be processed. Two types are provided: DOM Data Production and DSM/DEM Production, with DOM Data Production used as an example here.
- Set the workflow type: Select the desired workflow, with optional types including:
- DOM Production Workflow: Completes the full production process from raw imagery to a Digital Orthophoto Map (DOM). This workflow outputs a mosaicked full-scene image, standard map-sheet tiles, or imagery clipped according to a vector boundary. It is applicable in scenarios where multiple scenes need to be stitched together to fully cover the area of interest.
-
DOM Mosaicking Workflow: Performs fusion, enhancement, and color balancing on orthorectified imagery, and executes mosaicking operations to produce the final output. It is suitable for scenarios where orthophoto data already exists, and only requires panchromatic and multispectral data fusion, enhancement, color balancing, and mosaicking to output a result composed of multiple stitched scenes.
-
Color Balancing Production Workflow: Processes raw imagery into color-balanced single scenes, output as color-balanced results for one or multiple independent scenes. It is applicable when the study area is fully covered by a single scene, or when color consistency processing and analysis are required for images of the same area at different times.
-
True Color Production Workflow: Processes raw imagery into true color orthophotos, output as true color results for one or multiple independent scenes. It is suitable for scenarios where color differences between multiple scenes are not a concern, and the primary requirements are accurate geolocation and clear, natural visual appearance.
-
Fusion Production Workflow: Performs pan-sharpening (fusion of panchromatic and multispectral data) on raw imagery, output as fused results for one or multiple independent scenes. It is applicable where the core requirement is to obtain imagery with precise geographic location and high spatial detail for a specific area, while strictly maintaining the original pixel physical meaning or radiometric consistency for quantitative analysis.
-
Orthorectification Production Workflow: Performs orthorectification on raw imagery, output as orthorectified results for one or multiple independent scenes. It is suitable for scenarios where the core rigid requirement is obtaining accurate geographic coordinates and true shapes of surface features, with no additional demands on visual appearance, spatial detail, or color aesthetics.
- Set the processing path: The directory used to store the workspace, data source, and GPA files.
- Set the workflow name: Set the name of the image processing flow. You can rename it according to project requirements.
- Set the map name: Set the map name associated with the image processing flow. After executing the workflow, the result data will be displayed in this map.
- Set the datasource name: Used to store intermediate and result datasets during data processing.
- After completing the above operations, click the OK button. The corresponding data source, workflow, and map will be automatically loaded in the current workspace for subsequent data processing operations.
Note:After creating a workflow, you can set Parallel Count and Parallel Strategy parameters for data processing in Environment Variables.
Open Workflow
SuperMap ImageX Pro stores workflows as *.xml files. Click Imagery tab -> Workflow Management group -> Open button to select a local *.xml file, which will restore the saved workflow, image map window, and data in the imagery panel.
Execute Workflow
Use Imagery tab -> Workflow Management group -> Execute button to run the current workflow. For more execution methods, see Workflow Execution.
Cancel Workflow Execution
Use Imagery tab -> Workflow Management group -> Cancel button to terminate a running workflow.
Save Workflow
Click Imagery tab -> Workflow Management group -> Save button to save the current workflow, data in the imagery panel, and image map contents to a *.xml file. When reopening this file, you can retrieve all saved contents.
